Band news Ken was early and spent the time creating some patches on his Pod X3. Richard was late, but already has his patches sorted since he uses stomp boxes.
There was discussion about whether the band name included the definite article (the) or not. The general opinion was that the band is called “Love Commandos” partly because it was taken from the lyric “the psychotronic love commandos”, but mainly because Neil dislikes band names with “The” in their name.
Musically both “Just a Day” and “Burn Baby, Burn” are coming along nicely and should be ready once we have the album ready for release.
There was also discussion about both engaging an agent to manage the gig side of things – since we are clearly useless at organising gigs – and arranging a publishing deal to promote our original songs.

Website News …we have now updated (downgraded?) the site to look and function as well as possible in Internet Explorer 6.
The site has been designed to current xhtml and css standards. Current versions of Mozilla based browsers like Firefox and Netscape will render the site perfectly. Internet Explorer version 6.x claims to be standards compliant but has many rendering bugs. We have attempted to implement work-arounds for those bugs.
Older browsers will not render the site correctly, and we would gently suggest that you upgrade your browsing experience with Firefox, Chrome or Safari.

Website News Day 24 in the new Love Commandos (web)house and the site now has an XML sitemap registered with all the leading search engines. We are also using Google Analytics to see which parts of the site are the most popular.
We may not watch “Big Brother”, but big brother may be watching us.
What will be most popular? You decide!

Band news Some footage of The Love Commandos recording “Siren” has been posted on the Siren page. The quality isn’t great, but it gives you an idea of how we recorded the basic tracks (click track and all). We then overdubbed tracks where necessary, such as vocal tracks and guitar solos.
