New website developed

As we’ve spent a year or so concentrating on new material, recording and producing an album, it seemed only sensible to update our web presence. Consequently uncle Ken has been hard at work developing a new look website.

The bulk of the site design has been completed and we are busy migrating content.

A belated Happy New Year!

Well, a belated Happy New Year to one and all from the command bunker.

Recent attempts have been made at rehearsals to record the raw, live sound of the LCs so as to at least produce the dodgiest of demo CDs. Only Ken knows how well or badly this is going.

Neil still gadding about so not much has been happening. Jon joining the list of people to blame for cancelled rehearsals. Neil no longer feels quite as lonely.

Played last gig of the year

Played last gig of the year at the Flapper & Firkin pub in Birmingham. Longest set we have played in a good while. Live debut of two new Love Commandos tracks which will become a staple fo the live set. More information on the gigs page.

Attempts to record the gig may not have been as fruitful as we hoped for.

Things becoming quieter over the forthcoming Christmas period mainly due to Neil gadding about.

Happy Birthday to our website. It has now been live for over one year.

Brand new gig information. Love Commandos plus special guests Cage to appear at the Flapper & Firkin in Birmingham on Tuesday 20th November 2001. This will probably be our last gig of 2001 so we would like to see as many people there as possible. We will hopefully be playing a lot of new material. We will also be recording the evening for possible live CD release so this is your chance to make yourself heard.

Mr. Jones and American Girl have been relegated from the potential set lists as we feel that, although they are both great songs, they no longer fit into our set.

After seeing your reply I had a chat with Cage at a rehearsal. Cage would love to do a double header with you guys in the New Year, drop me a line or e-mail and we’ll get it sorted.Sounds great! I will be in touch.

P.S. Cage are playing on Boxing Day at the Nag’s Head, Henley-in-Arden, & on New Year’s eve at the The Golden Lion, Solihull ƕ pounds admission, normal price beer!)

I remember Pipkins. I’m not sure who should be who though. How about some mp3’s or wav’s of your music – you look like a cool band, but it would be nice to hear you! Great idea. MP3s coming as soon as we can. Probably sometime next year due to the number of lazy perfectionists in the band.
