11 02 2011 has arrived and, now based in the mystical town of Glastonbury, Druidspear have returned. Previously based in Birmingham, a new line-up played at Glastonbury festival last year under the pseudonym Avalon by Bus. Following that success frontman James Binning has relaunched Druidspear with a new website, enabling fans old and new to listen to their extensive back catalogue as well as the previously unheard album “Return of the Broken Sorcerer”. http://www.druidspear.com

I can confirm that Paul Stanley of Kiss has had a copy of the brand new album “Siren” for at least as long as it took him to leave the room we were both in. He did promise to listen to it but to be honest, I don’t mind. I am just extremely happy that Paul Stanley has, however possibly briefly, been the owner of an album that I have made – especially considering the number of recordings I own with Paul on them. Now, if I can just get a t-shirt to Jennifer Aniston….

New website developed

As we’ve spent a year or so concentrating on new material, recording and producing an album, it seemed only sensible to update our web presence. Consequently uncle Ken has been hard at work developing a new look website.

The bulk of the site design has been completed and we are busy migrating content.

Immortal Alice | Junk Culture

Should be a top night, it is the first proper night of the Immortal Alice/ Junk Culture uk tour all stops will be pulled out!

Immortal Alice are flying over from Boston for the tour dates. They have had three albums out in the states and will be recording tracks for their upcoming live album, so make some noise! Immortal Alice are a band not to miss, they have been tipped for very big things. They have been compared to the likes of NO FX, Operation Ivy and the Breeders.

Junk Culture are my band so I shan’t say too much, we have influences ranging from the Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Stone Roses and even Iron Maiden!

The tour is to promote a split album between LoveJunk, Immortal Alice and Junk Culture, but as is the way with these things it won’t be coming out until after the tour, bah!

So, hope to see you all there. Come say hello, I’m the guy in Junk Culture wrestling with a bass!

The Love Commandos in the studio

The Love Commandos are currently in the studio recording their first mini album:

“Redline” and “Into Dust” are currently 75% complete.
“Respiration” should have its guide track laid down this Friday even if the lyrics are still somewhat elusive.
“Emotional Downtime” will need to have its guide track re-recorded due to previous over-enthusiasm

Logo design discussed and initial idea agreed upon.

Current quest for a name for the mini album not 100% successful. Suggestions welcome.
